Clothing Initiative in Gujarat

The project focuses on collecting, sorting, and distributing gently used and new clothes to individuals and families in underserved areas across Gujarat. We work closely with local organizations, schools, and community leaders to identify those in need and ensure that our efforts make a tangible difference. By addressing the immediate need for clothing, we aim to empower individuals to focus on other critical aspects of their lives, such as education and employment, ultimately fostering a more resilient and self-sufficient community.

About the project

Starting point

This initiative began by collecting used clothes from family members and close friends. These clothes were then sent to India, where my family and friends there distributed them to local underprivileged people in the streets and around our city. This grassroots effort quickly grew as more community members joined in, laying the foundation for our mission to provide clothing to the underprivileged in Gujarat.

Support for local communities

In the vibrant and diverse state of Gujarat, India, many communities still struggle with basic needs, including adequate clothing. Recognizing this pressing issue, "Unblanked" was founded with a mission to provide much-needed clothing to the underprivileged in this region. Our initiative is more than just a distribution of garments; it’s a step towards restoring dignity, warmth, and hope to those who need it most.
