Our Founding Story

Unblanked is a charity focused on providing clothes to underprivileged children and individuals in South Asian countries like India and Pakistan. The story of Unblanked begins with my grandmother, a devoted follower of Sanatana Dharma (Hinduism). Her life has been dedicated to the principles of seva (selfless service) and daan (charity). For many years, she has expressed gratitude for her blessings by giving clothes and food to the less fortunate in her community, practicing the cycle of karma.

Inspired by her selfless actions and teachings, I grew up sharing her values and beliefs, reinforced by the teachings of the Bhagavad Gita. Deeply motivated by her example, I decided to formalize her charitable efforts. In 2019, I officially founded Unblanked intending to transform her local acts of kindness into an organized international mission. Since then, we have donated thousands of clothing articles in Gujarat, India, and are planning to expand our efforts.

As we look to the future, we aim to expand the charity across the nation and increase our reach across South Asia to help as many people as possible. Our goal is to create a sustainable and widespread impact, and ultimately continue the legacy of love and selfless giving initiated by my grandmother.

Our Mission

In the bustling streets and quiet villages of South Asia, including parts of Pakistan and India, a heart-wrenching sight is all too common: children, barefoot and underdressed, braving the elements with little to shield them. At unblanked, we envision a world where no one has to face the biting cold without the warmth of clothing or walk the scorching paths without shoes. From the heart of Canada, we reach out with compassion, gathering donations of clothes, supplies, and funds. Our mission is not just to clothe but to restore dignity, hope, and a promise of a better tomorrow. Join us in weaving a safety net of love and care, ensuring that the vulnerable are not left unprotected.
